At about 5:45 p.m. on September 14th, a boy named Huang of Huaqiao University unfortunately had a sudden rise in the car while riding the elevator. He was stuck between the third and fourth floors, and was tragically killed by internal injuries due to strong compression. This accident of suffocation of college students by the stuck elevator once again sounded the elevator security alarm.

Starting this week, the 2014 "Elevator Safety Promotion Week" was launched nationwide. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine requires that on the basis of summarizing the pilot experience in Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Nanjing and other places, the construction of elevator emergency response service platform should be promoted to improve the emergency response capability of elevators.

It is not uncommon for elevator safety to happen recently. Elevator safety was once put on the focus of rectification in various places, but tragedies are happening. Elevator safety is related to personal safety and quality of life. It calls on quality supervision, safety supervision and other relevant departments to strengthen supervision. For the violent installation of individual construction units, the inspection personnel did not strictly account for the behavior of the inspection according to the regulations and regulations. The elevator is inspected to avoid causing personal injury to the passengers; at the same time, the public is reminded to establish a sense of safety in taking the elevator. It is important to grasp the knowledge of elevator self-rescue in distress. When encountering a fault, if the occupant can take appropriate emergency treatment methods within the first time, the danger and injury can be avoided to the greatest extent. 1. Common faults of elevator

(1) The elevator door is opened, and the car continues to rise or fall. The sudden rise or fall of the car is called "slider". If the elevator door is not closed, the elevator will not run, which has been set by the system. The elevator "slide down" may be due to the failure of the brake, or the brake force is not enough.

(2) The elevator door opened, but the car did not come up. Under normal circumstances, it does not appear, but it is not ruled out that there are many factors that cause the elevator to malfunction. If the computer control system or the elevator safety protection device fails, it may be that the repair is not in place.

(3) At the destination, the elevator door cannot be opened or closed. The phenomenon that the elevator door cannot be opened may be due to a malfunction of the elevator door machine. The phenomenon that the elevator doors cannot be closed may also mean that the door machine is malfunctioning or the safety light curtain of the elevator is blocked.

(4) The elevator suddenly stopped between floors. This may be caused by the power failure of the elevator or its own failure, commonly known as "trapped ladder". Although this is a kind of elevator failure, it is also the role of the safety protection system when the elevator has an accident. When the elevator is running, if it detects that any landing door, car door is opened, or even the door electrical switch is in poor contact, the elevator will automatically stop.

2. Self-help measures in case of failure

Generally, elevators will not stop running when there is a power outage. If the building is equipped with an elevator backup power supply or the elevator itself is equipped with an emergency leveling device powered by a battery, it will usually drive automatically to the nearest floor and open the door; before the elevator fails, there will usually be some dangers Signals, such as abnormal sound of the elevator, or obvious changes in speed, fast and slow, etc .; when the elevator is found, the display screen is not displayed, or the button light is not lit, etc. Once encountering the above situation, passengers should leave the car as soon as possible when the elevator stops, and inform the elevator management personnel of the specific situation of the elevator failure in time. In particular, pay attention to that when entering or exiting the elevator, do not step forward hurriedly, and first observe whether the elevator car floor and floors are level.

3. Protection measures taken in case of an elevator falling

(1) Press the buttons on each floor as soon as possible, so that when the emergency power supply starts, the elevator can immediately stop falling.

(2) If there is a handle in the elevator, hold the handle with one hand first, and then hold the entire back and head against the inner wall of the elevator to fix the position of the person so as not to fall.

(3) If there is no handle in the elevator, use both hands to support the inner wall of the elevator, and then the entire back and head are close to the inner wall of the elevator to fix the body and use the elevator wall to protect the spine.

(4) To bend your knees, bend your knees to withstand heavy pressure.

(5) Immediately after the elevator is stable, use the alarm bell and intercom in the elevator to contact the elevator maintenance unit and management personnel, or call 119 directly for help.

Fourth, when trapped in the elevator, calmly wait for the rescue of professionals

(1) When passengers are trapped in the elevator car, keep calm, and it is strictly prohibited to forcibly open the car door or climb out of the car roof safety window to escape (the safety window is only used by professionals for emergency rescue or maintenance) to prevent the elevator from suddenly After the operation, there was an accident of personnel shearing or falling into the elevator shaft.

(2) Immediately use the alarm bell, emergency alarm device or telephone on the car control panel to contact the elevator management personnel in time. At present, most elevators have covered mobile phone signals in the car, and the qualified elevators are equipped with emergency alarm devices. If there is a power outage or the mobile phone has no signal in the elevator, keep calm, because the elevator is equipped with safety anti-fall devices, so that the elevator will not fall.

(3) The elevator has a non-sealed structure. Even if there is a power outage, the fan port is still there. People trapped in the elevator do not have to worry about the lack of oxygen. You can roll up the carpet laying on the floor of the elevator car to expose the bottom vent to achieve the best ventilation effect. Then shout loudly outside, if no one answers, do n’t panic, and avoid shouting and screaming in the elevator because of tension. You must save energy, you can pat the elevator door intermittently, or use a hard The sole of the shoe knocks on the elevator door, it is best to hear the sound outside and shoot again, waiting for the arrival of rescuers.

5. Take the elevator to keep in mind the "three observations" and "four nos" tactics

(1) Before entering the elevator, pay attention to observe whether the elevator car is on the corresponding floor, and do not rush into it. Enter the elevator and observe if there is a "Safety Inspection Qualified" sign, whether it is within the validity period. When the elevator is in normal operation, both the floor door and the car door should be closed. If the elevator door is found to be closed, it will run, indicating that the elevator is faulty. Do not ride at this time to prevent accidents.

(2) Do not press multiple buttons at the same time when riding the elevator, otherwise it will easily cause system failure and cause the elevator to stop suddenly; do not smoke, discard cigarette butts or use open flames in the elevator, unextinguished sparks will easily ignite the line Cause a fire; do not play in the elevator, the violent shaking of the elevator may cause a sudden fall; do not stay at the entrance and exit of the escalator, or touch shoes or clothing to the escalator baffle.
